How Much Is Shipping?

If your purchase is $400 or more, you receive FREE ground shipping in the contiguous United States.  Orders under $400 will incur a shipping cost depending on your order total.  The table below outlines your shipping costs. 29.99 is the maximum amount we charge for shipping and many orders ship for free.

What Shipping Methods Are Offered?

We currently offer ground shipping through various carriers. Due to complex shipping regulations for paint and paint-related materials, delivery methods are at the sole discretion of If you are ordering a pearl, flake, or other dry product, we may have other options.

What Are The Rush Shipping Options?

Due to complex shipping regulations for paint and paint-related materials, delivery methods are limited to ground shipping. This means we cannot offer Next-day Air or similar options.

How Long Does It Take To Process/Ship An Order?

Most (99%+) of orders ship within 2 business days. However, special orders and out-of-stock items can take longer.

How Long Does Shipping Take?

Once your order is processed, transit times (time your items are on a truck) varies between 1 to 6 business days depending on your location. Typical order arrival times (the time between when you complete payment for your order and when you receive your items) are shown in the map below. We will send a tracking number, so you can track the package’s process.

Where Is TheCoatingStore Located?

Our products are designed, manufactured, and ship from our factory in South Mississippi.

Will You Provide Tracking Information?

Yes. Our system automatically provides a tracking number once the item ships. Look in your email inbox for a purchase confirmation email and shipping update emails. Because the automated email looks like SPAM to some email servers it may be moved to your SPAM or Junk email folders.

If you don’t get an order confirmation email the day of your order and/or you don’t get a tracking email within 3 business days (weekends and national holidays don’t count as business days) then please check your junk/spam email folder first and if you cant locate it there contact us at [email protected].

Will You Ship An To An Address That Is Different Than The Billing Address?

Under certain circumstances, we do allow verified customers to have their items delivered to an address different from their billing address. If you submit an order where the bill-to and ship-to addresses are different we will contact you to verify you are the card owner. This may take additional processing time to veify you are the card owner. Once you are verified you will not have to re-verify on future orders to the same address.  To ensure a faster verification please make sure your phone number is correct and respond to any messages we leave for you quickly.

Will You Ship An Order To Multiple Addresses?

Our website checkout system only allows for one shipping address per order. If you need shipments to multiple locations, please place separate orders.

Does Ship to AK, HI, and US territories?

We do not ship directly to any areas outside of the contiguous 48 states of the United States of America.

Will You Ship To PO Boxes Or APOs/FPOs?

Due to the complex shipping regulations for shipping hazardous items, we cannot ship these items to APOs/FPOs.

Will You Ship Internationally?

Not at this time.  We sell only to the contiguous 48 states of the United States of America.  If you are an automotive paint distributor in another country and you are interested in importing our product to sell in your country you can contact us at [email protected] to discuss.

What Happens If I Get The Wrong Paint?

Each order is carefully reviewed by a trained warehouse technician and double checked by a team lead before being boxed and shipped.

However, despite our best efforts we do sometimes make mistakes. If you feel as though a mistake has been made on your order please take a photo of all the items you received and email us at [email protected] and we will work with you to resolve your concerns.  Please check your packages within 24 hours of receiving to check for damage and missing items.

The Products I Ordered Arrived Damaged. What Do I Do?

Let us know right away, and be sure to keep the box the parts arrived in. Items damaged or items missing from your shipment must be reported within 24 hours of package receipt.

Should your items be damaged beyond use during shipment, please take photos of the box and items and email them to us at [email protected]. We will file a freight claim to replace the items damaged beyond use.

Note: Dented cans are not considered damaged beyond use.

I Gave You The Wrong Address. Can I Change Where You Send My Shipment?

Orders where the shipping address does not match the billing address for the credit card may incur a delay while we go through a card verification process to verify the card owner has authorized the purchase.  We reserve the right to cancel and refund any order.

I Didn't Receive My Order. What Do I Do?

Use the tracking number provided to track the package. If it shows as damaged in transit and returned please contact us to verify the damage and arrange for a re-shipment of the items.  If the tracking information indicates the items have been delivered then check with neighbors or other family members to see if they received the items.We are not responsible for theft of items left at the doorstep. To prevent theft, opt for signature required at delivery.

NOTE: If you opt for signature required at delivery and the carrier returns the items after multiple attempts you will be responsible for shipping charges to send the items a 2nd time.

What Happens If I Refuse A Shipment?

If during transit of your items you decide you want to return the items then simply tell the delivery driver you refuse the shipment and they will return the product to us.   You will need to contact us to arrange a refund or exchange.  Any refunds would be less the original shipping cost we incurred and any return shipment cost as a result of refusing the package.
